- Soda (Indian wild berries), washed and dried raw mango each
- Mustard oil

- Nigella seeds (kalonji)

- Chilli powder (adjust to taste)
- Asafoetida (Hing)
- Salt to taste
Here is how we make the lasoda Pickle preparation:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the lasoda berries, ensuring there is no moisture.
- Heat mustard oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, nigella seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and asafoetida. Sauté until the spices release their aroma.
- Gently add the dried lasoda berries and raw mango to the spice mixture. Stir well to coat them evenly.
Allow the lasoda berries to simmer in the spice mixture for a few minutes. Let the pickle cool to room temperature.
Transfer the pickle to a clean, dry, and airtight container. Let it marinate for at least a day to enhance the flavours.
